Started on Flower worksheet. Colored pencils needed Thursday. Start scheduling short study sessions of flower parts.
Today we - Drew a flower and labeled the parts we already knew. Learned the structure and function of flower parts using a guided worksheet and power point. The original copy of the worksheet and the ppt. can be found under Flower Structure and Function. The worksheet is already filled in since the one copied for students was a whited out version. Bring colored pencils Wed. and Thurs. Today in detail- We did a 1 minute essay on Growth and Development. First we had a short discussion with a partner about an organism and how to explain growth and development in this organism. Next we wrote this description individually. Last we read 4 of them out loud. Emphasis was on using capital letters and periods; including the vocabulary growth, development (or forms of these words), and including details to fully explain our understanding. We watered our plant and took data (no growth today) We took a pretest on flower parts structure and function.
